It is with great sadness that the family of Fred de Vet announces his going home to the Lord on Saturday September 1st at the age of 84. Fred will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years, Anne, and his children Fred (Celia), Rob (Lynne), and Sue (Paul). Fred will be fondly missed by his eight grandchildren, Michelle, Stephanie (Adam), Lindsay (Joe), Alyssa (Ian), Taylor, Alanna, Sarah and Brendan, as well as his great granddaughter, Anja. He is survived by his sister Margret (late Fritz) deGraaf of Brantford and his brother John (Judy) de Vet in B.C. Family and friends will be received at the TOLL FUNERAL HOME 55 Charing Cross street on Tuesday, September 4th 2018 from 2-4p.m. and 7-9p.m. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 5th in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations to the Central Baptist Church or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
