Obituary for Claudette Byles

Passed away peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at the age of 80 with her family by her side. She was born on June 12, 1938 in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica to Joseph and Adlyn South, now deceased. Beloved wife of Michael for 58 years. Loving mother of Shawn, Tracy (Sean Malcolmson) and Wayne. Cherished grandmother of Liam, Caeley and Ann Malcolmson. Dear sister of Selburn, Lloyd (Merlene), Winston (Leila), Doreen, Neville (Sharlene), Yvonne (Lloyd Kerr), George, and Sharon (Courtney Moseley). Predeceased by brothers Dudley and Devon. It is impossible to condense the memory of her life into a few short words, but she will always be remembered by those she loved for the brightness of her smile and the warmth in her heart. The family would like to thank the staff at the Brantford General Hospital for their caring and support. A Memorial Service will be held at Generations Church, 62 Balfour Street, Brantford on Friday, August 31, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the church hall. At the families request, those who attend are asked to wear bright colours to celebrate Claudette's life. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Claudette’s name can be made to the Adult Recreation Therapy Centre (A.R.T.C.) or Parkinson Canada.
