Peacefully, surrounded by his family Andries “Andy” Dykgraaf passed away on August 4, 2018, days before his 88th birthday. Beloved husband for 63 years to Renny Dykgraaf and loving father to Wilma (Len) Brak, Alice (Bernie) Fahey and Gary (Audrey). Devoted grandpa to Michael (Krista) Brak, Nathan (Michelle) Brak, April Brak (Mike), Meaghan Fahey and Sean Fahey. Opa to Callum and Chloe Brak, Cooper and Grayson Brak. Survived by sister Katie (Bram) Abrahamse and sister-in-law Bub Dykgraaf. Brother-in-law to Carrie Verkade, Maaike Van Spronsen, Jim and Anne Scheffel, Meina Vanderstelt and Frank and Elly Scheffel. Predeceased by brothers Vol (Gre) Dykgraaf and Piet Dykgraaf and brothers-in-law Jack Verkade, Simon Vanspronsen and Wally Vanderstelt. Andy will also be missed by many nieces and nephews in Canada and Holland. Special thank you to the staff and volunteers at the Stedman Community Hospice for their care and support. The family will receive friends at the TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.
