Obituary for Douglas Lewis Raines

Douglas Lewis Raines
It is with great sadness, the family announces the passing of Douglas Lewis Raines on June 28, 2018 at 93 years of age. Predeceased by his beloved wife, Eileen (Saunders), Doug will be greatly missed by his daughter Jane Anderson (John) and his sister Faye Simpson (Ray). Doug was also predeceased by his parents, William and Margaret Raines. Doug was born and raised in Brantford but his career in the sales department, with the E.B. Eddy Paper Company, caused the family to move between St. Catharine’s, London and Burlington before retiring in Brantford. Doug was Very proud to have served with the R.C.A.F during World War II and was a lifetime member of Canadian Warplane Heritage. During his time at Charlotte Villa, Doug participated in the S.K.I.P program, was President of the Residence Council. He enjoyed being part of the Charlotte Villa Community and spending time with the guys at the Gentlemen's Club. The family would like to thank the staff at Charlotte Villa for the kind and loving care they gave Doug over the last seven years, and especially during the last few months of his life. Arrangements have been entrusted to the TOLL FUNERAL HOME . www.tollfh.ca
