STEWARD, Thomas “Kenneth” (April 27, 1931-June 13, 2018) - at the age of 87, Kenneth passed away on June 13th at his retirement home. Ken was predeceased by his wife Barbara and his second wife Jean. He is survived by his two children with Barbara: Kenneth Allan (Linda), and Brenda Jean (Mark), and five grandchildren – Justin (Kellie), Melissa (Lorne), Nicole (Nikolai), Lydia, and Davis. Ken also had three great-grandchildren: Sienna, Jackson, and Hayden and many nieces and nephews. Ken is also survived by his siblings: Wes, Shirley and June, and close brothers and sisters in law. Ken will be fondly remembered by family, friends, and neighbours as a kind and helpful man with a ready smile and positive attitude. He embraced opportunities and faced adversities with determination and loyalty. After a long career in maintenance management, he turned his energy to woodworking, community service, cycling, and travel. Good natured and personable, Ken was a man of considerable abilities; he could design, build and repair all manner of things, and he was a very enthusiastic gardener, always eager to share his home grown produce. He will be dearly missed by his family. The family would like to thank the staff at Seasons Retirement Home in Brantford for their kind and compassionate care. Family and friends will be received at the Dennis Toll Funeral Home, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Thursday, June 21st, 2018 from 12:00-1:00pm, with a memorial service to follow at 1:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.
