Obituary for Franciszek "Frank" Rojek
ROJEK, Frank (Franciszek)
Passed away peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family on Monday, May 7, 2018. Beloved husband of Mary (Marysia). Cherished father of daughters Irene Merritt and her husband Mark, and Julie (Jola) Malecki and her husband Steven. Loving and devoted Dziadzia of Jeffery, Tyler (Deanna), Madison, Bradley and Kendall. Predeceased by his siblings Jan, Josephine, Stanislaw, Wyadyslaw and cousin Frank Kraska. Survived by sister-in-law Stanislawa Rojek and his niece Josie (Lyle) and Walter Rojek, and Cousin Antonia (Tony) Kraska, nieces Andrea and Marla (Ferretti) and niece Irene (Mark) Meloun and their children Patrick and Monica. He will also be fondly remembered by many other extended family members and friends. Frank left his home in Poland and arrived in Canada in 1963 with his wife Mary and his infant daughter Irene. With great courage Frank created a new life for his growing family. A loving, devoted husband, father and grandfather, Frank was a vibrant and vital man, known for his zest for life and infectious laugh.His spirit will remain forever in his family’s heart and he will be missed always.
The family will receive friends at the TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Thursday, May 10, 2018 from 6-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 235 Brant Avenue, Brantford on Friday, May 11, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
