Obituary for
Kevin Nelson Murnaghan
Peacefully, in his 45th year at the Steadman Hospice-Hankinson House. He fought his battle with courage and humour until the end with his family at his side.
Kevin was a kind and gentle soul who always put others ahead of himself, and asked for little in return. He loved cooking with his brother, watching the Toronto Maple Leafs, and The Toronto Blue Jays, and spending time with his fur buddy Manny.
Kevin was the cherished son of Marlene Murnaghan (nee Ferris), and Brother and best friend of John.
Our family would like to offer our heartfelt gratitude to the many friends who have offered their prayers, as well as the many cards, floral arrangements, and food. Each of you have been an amazing support amid this tremendous loss.
We would also very much want to thank the following people: The VON nurses who provided Kevin’s home care, The staff of Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre, The Staff of Hamilton General Hospital, the staff of Brantford General Hospital, the caring staff at Hankinson House and finally the staff of Dennis Toll Funeral Home. All of you helped Kevin and us with care and compassion.
Donations in Kevin’s memory can be made to either of the following: The Sunshine Dreams for kids Foundation through whom Kevin once went on a trip to DisneyWorld, The Children’s Wish Foundation, and The Help a Child Smile Foundation, who Kevin often donated to. He would be honoured to see kids dealing with cancer enjoy a dream in his name. A celebration of Life for Kevin will be held in the near future.
