Marlene  Jane  Clark RN
After a long and enjoyable life, Marlene passed away peacefully on February 8, 2018 at the John Noble Home at the age of 81 years. Reunited with the love of her life, her husband Harry, and also reuniting with her beloved sons Greg and Graeme, and cherished grandson Adam. Marlene will be deeply missed by her granddaughter Emily, honourary grandchildren Nikki and Shawn (Katie), and her great-grandchildren James, Dominic, Ashaya, Derek and Ryker. Fondly remembered by daughters-in-law Laurie and Barb. Also survived by her cousins that throughout Marlene’s childhood became more like her sisters, Shirley Bryant and Barbara Knorr. Daughter of the late Madeline and Buford King, and the late Emily and William White. Marlene graduated from the Brantford General Hospital School of Nursing and McMaster University. She worked as a registered nurse at the Brantford General Hospital and the Brant County Unit, and as a nurse supervisor at the W. Ross Macdonald School. At the time of her retirement she was employed by the Provincial Government as Director of Finance and Operations at the W. Ross Macdonald School, Brantford and The Robarts School for the Deaf, London. Marlene was a member of the Brantford General Hospital Nurses Alumni Association, McMaster University Alumni, Probus, and the Red Hat Society. Former member of the Rotary Club of Brantford and the a.m. Rotary Club. She was the past president of the Brantford Association for Children with Learning Disabilities and a former board member of the W. Ross Macdonald Foundation. The family will receive friends at the TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Saturday, February 17, 2018 from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m. in the chapel. Cremation to follow. If desired, donations can be made to Make a Child Smile Foundation or Epilepsy Canada.
