Obituary for James Wesley "Jim" Babcock

James Wesley "Jim" Babcock
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Jim at his home on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 in his 57th year. Jim leaves behind his wife, the love of his life and soul mate, Patti (nee Plant). He was a loving husband and also father of two furry family members, his little girl Lucky and his big girl Brooke in heaven. He is survived by his siblings Janet (Rick) Weber, Sandy (Sue), Tim, Dan and Peter. Predeceased by parents Esther (nee MacLean) and John “Jack” Babcock, and his two brothers John and David. Uncle of Jennifer, Kate, Ryan, Alisha (Donnie), Kristi, Brittany, Ashley, and Carole-Anne, and great-uncle of Mia, Brianna, Owen and Evan. Jim will be greatly missed by his father and mother-in-law, Murray and Helen Plant, sisters-in-law, Peggy Bedford, Ruth Barrowcliffe, Judy (Rob) Nagy and Nancy (Joe) Ferland. He will also be deeply missed by his aunt and uncles (Naomi, Bill, Erma, Ian), nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Jim was a sports enthusiast, a dedicated Leafs fan, and in his youth won many trophies in hockey and lacrosse. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ontario Lung Association, Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Brant Community Healthcare System specifically the Critical Care Unit or the Rehab Unit.
