Obituary for Melba Stone

I slipped into a peaceful and eternal sleep at Hardy Terrace Long Term Care on November 6th 2017. Born September 14th 1921 in Boston Ontario. Beloved wife of the late Lorne Nelson (1965) and Charles Stone (1987). She is mourned by a step daughter and best friend Diana Stone of Brantford. Late Richard Globe of Denmark, Ronald Globe (Janet) of Burlington, Nancy Hayes (Doug) of Fergus. Cherished Grandmother to five and loving Nana to seven. Survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by step son Richard Stone (1981) and brothers John and Bruce Swift, sisters Arta Mae Culver, Lois Crane and Thelma Wylie. As per Melba’s wishes, friends will be received at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME 55 Charing Cross St. Brantford, on Thursday November 9th 2017 from 10:00a.m – 12:00p.m. Funeral service to follow in the chapel. Interment to take place at Greenwood Cemetery Waterford Ontario. Expression of sympathy may be made to Jerseyville Baptist Church or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Thanks to Tranquility Retirement Home and Hardy Terrace Long Term Care staff for their wonderful care and support.
