It is with great sorrow that the family announces the peaceful passing of Lillian at the Brantford General Hospital on Friday, October 6, 2017 at the age of 94. Reunited with her beloved husband the late Lloyd Edwards (2003). Cherished and loving mother of Donna (Yannis) Yamanis, Bill Edwards, the late Wayne Edwards (infant), Tom Edwards, Lorraine (Marty) McGregor, Marlene (Stewart) Gibson and the late Bernadette (Jeff) Bradfield. Proud grandmother of Nina, Monica, Ashley, Shane, Colin, Katelyn, Austin, Abbey, Lily and the late Julian (infant). Dear great-grandmother of Ariston, Braden, Simon, Emma and Remy. Much loved sister of Ceil Brzuchacz, Hank Mayeski, Irene Tota and Lenard Mayeski. Predeceased by sister Helen and brothers Chester and Frank. Lillian will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Lillian’s family was her life and she leaves with them a legacy of love. The family wish to thank Lillian’s caregivers, especially Gosia Bicz and the staff at the BGH. Friends will be received at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church, 181 King Street, Burford, ON on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Pioneer Cemetery, Burford. Donations in memory of Lillian can be made to a children’s charity of your choice.
