Obituary for Constance Alice "Connie" Smith

Constance Alice "Connie" Smith
Passed away peacefully on July 22, 2016 in her 95th year. Connie was born in London, England. She was a World War II veteran, serving in the Women's Auxiliary Air Force as a radar operator. It was during this time that she met her husband of 71 years, James "Jim" Smith. Jim and Connie emigrated to Brantford, Ontario in 1956. A long time member at North Ridge, Connie was an avid golfer and was especially proud of the hole-in-one that she scored there. She also enjoyed playing cards and visiting with her long time friends George and Doris Usher. Connie was well known for her smile that could light up a room. Connie is survived by her husband Jim, her children Lesley Moore and Christopher Smith, grandchildren Lora Grant, Jennifer Kinneman and Andy Smith, and great-grandchildren Sam, Jack, Piper and Phoebe. Her family will gather at a later date to honour her life. Many thanks to the staff at Fox Ridge for their loving care.
