Obituary for Douglas Leonard Urch

April 27/ 1924. - April 4/2016. Passed away April 4, 2016 nearly 92 years old. Recently predeceased by his wife of 67 years, Winnifred, on February 6, 2016, and his eldest son Mark (Lynn) on December 3, 2015. Cherished and loving father of Tim (Veronica) and Dave (Katherine). Devoted and proud grandfather of Derek and Stephanie, Nathanael (Christina), Christopher (Emily), Kristin and Matthew (Katarina), Ethan and Jake. He will be deeply missed by extended family members and many dear friends. Dad was a man of strong conviction and deep faith. Selfless, generous and kind, he lived his life in a way that made so many other lives better. He was an honest and hard worker both secularly and especially in the congregations of Jehovahs Witnesses that he was associated with. He set a fine example, worthy of imitation for many. We look forward to seeing him again, and while saddened by his passing, we are relieved that his suffering has ended and he is securely in Gods memory. Special thanks to the staff at Hardy Terrace, Dr. Collins, the nurses and PSW’s for their care of our dear father. Memorial will be held Sunday, April 10, 2016. at 4:00 pm. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses, 11 St.Patrick Drive, Brantford.
