BARRIE, Vera Katherine (nee: Hewson) RN – passed away at Brierwood Gardens on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 in her 97th year, after many years of failing health. Predeceased by her beloved husband Ian, parents George and Elizabeth, brothers George, Leonard and Roy and sister Edith. Special aunt to Larry (Helen) Hewson and Dave (Franca) Hewson. Great aunt to Len, Mary, Steve, Nina and Jamie. Vera was lovingly known as Aunt V to her great and great-great nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Monday, October 29, 2018 from 1 p.m. – 2:30 p.m., with a service to follow in the funeral home at 2:30 p.m. Interment at Mt. Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
