Condolence: John Derus as I knew him was an exceedingly hard working and industrious individual. When I would visit his service station he would quite often share something about his family and himself. He devoted almost all of his life to work setting aside his own personal enjoyment in life and indulging in the fruits of his labour. John will be profoundly missed in our Burtch-Newport community by the people whom knew him. My condolences to all the members of his family
