Condolence: It breaks my heart to have to leave this message. Syd was truly a man that had a heart of gold and loved life. I knew him from school but I remember how excited he was when we donated an original Atari computer in the box to his museum. He was like a kid on Christmas. He will be missed by many and remembered by all for the kind deeds he did, the moments he shared and the love he gave in each day he lived. Until we meet again my friend!!

Condolence: I never had the chance to become friends with Syd because of how far I live. I did however go to Game night in multiple occasions and I got to talk to both him and Jenny. I honestly don't know what to say here. Other than they were such an awesome couple, incredibly generous and wonderful human beings. Syd will be missed, not only for his work, but because of who he was. As I said, I really didn't get to be friends with him, but somehow through the game nights and the computer museum he became part of my life and now that he is gone I can feel the void he is leaving in all of us. Sincerely Esteban Lopez

Condolence: My though and prayers go out to Jen and all of Syd’s family at this difficult time. The world has lost a great person and a maker of dreams. I met Syd and Jen at the opening of the personal computer museum back when it was small and was a dream of being big. I catered the opening and It was one of the best days, mostly because of the passion that Syd had for that little garage in his back yard. He dreamed big and he made it big. I am sure he is organizing an Atari competition up there as we speak. Rest In Peace Syd

Condolence From: John Brent
Condolence: I met Syd when he was a grade 7 student and I was a school principal. We collaborated on a 'sneakernet' using 'FastHackem' to make some offsite back ups of a lot of his programs using my 1541 and his. His goal then was to have 16 different computers by the time he was 16. He achieved that . . . and since then he's achieved a lot more. We'll all miss Syd. He was a great guy and has always been 'larger than life' to me.
