Obituary for Olga Green

Passed away peacefully in her 99th year, following fond goodbyes from her loving family at the Brantford General Hospital. Olga is predeceased by her husbands Mike Podwinski, Andrew Postuszny and Tony Green. Deeply missed by her loving daughters Sonia Olivier of Texas, Rose Browning of Thunder Bay, Evelyn Fletcher (Garry), Carol Bucci (Vince) and Julie O’Hagan (Michael) of Brantford. Adored grandmother of David, Belinda, Catherine, Lisa, Jamie, Brynda, Robert, Christopher, Andrew, Patrick, Vincent, Liana, Sean and Kathleen. Missed by her 15 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Olga was a partner with her second husband in a grocery store and laundromat for several years in Sudbury, Ontario. Then in her later years, she enjoyed travelling with her husband Tony. She moved to Brantford when she was 81 to be closer to her three daughters. Olga especially enjoyed interacting with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was in good health until recently. She was the matriarch of the family and made a great impact on all of our lives. The family loved her generosity and her cooking, especially her cabbage rolls and pierogi. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses on the ICU, the surgical unit at the Brantford General Hospital, Maria, her kind volunteer, and Tomoko, for her kindness and her songs to mom. Family and friends will be received at the TOLL FUNERAL HOME 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Monday, May 7th 2018 from 11:00a.m-1:00p.m with service to follow in the chapel. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers donations appreciated to the BCHS Music Therapy program or Stedman Community Hospice.
