Obituary for Nicola Notarandrea

Nicola Notarandrea
Surrounded by the love of his family on Saturday, April 14, 2018, Nicola Liberato (Leo) Notarandrea in his 90th year went to be with the Lord. Beloved husband of Sabina (DiGiannantonio) of 63 years. Loving father to Ezio (Elsa), Patricia Berardi (Santino) and Attilio (Carolyn). Proud Nonno to Nino, Nicholas, Tania, Carla, Deon, Kayla and Lee. Great Nonno to Sabrina, Natalia, Alexander, Blake, Domenic and Emma. Brother to Maria (the late Domenico), the late Pasquale (Rita), Carmine (the late Anna) and Laura (Michele Colaiacovo). Predeceased by father Carmine, stepfather Edoardo, mother Renata and in-laws Attilio and Adelina DiGiannantonio. He will be greatly missed by all his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. The pride of his life was his family. Born in Pratola Peligna, Italy in 1929, Liberato was employed in Venezuela for a number of years prior to relocating his young family to Canada in 1965. He was a proud employee of KeepRite Canada for over 30 years. He was an avid gardener and wine maker who loved taking long walks and playing cards at family gatherings. A special thank you to sister Laura and brother-in-law Michele for their lifetime of love and support. Many thanks to CCAC, especially nurses Starla and Eva from Bayshore Home Health, Dr. Auchinachie for his years of care, Dr. Montour and the outreach team and the palliative care team of C7 Brantford General Hospital. Friends will be received at the TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Pius X Church, 9 Waverly Street, Brantford on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at 11 a.m. Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 620 Governors Rd E, Paris. Donations may be made in Liberato’s memory to the Brantford General Hospital Foundation, Stedman Hospice or the charity of your choice.
