Passed away peacefully on Monday, April 2, 2018 at the Brantford General Hospital in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late Robert Hewitson (1987). Devoted mother of George (Sharon), Ron (Kim), Kevin (Cheryl), Craig (Lori), Carolyn (Wally), and the late Lee (Bonnie). Dearly loved by 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Remembered by her sisters-in-law Marion (Ward Goodbrand), Marion (Bruce Goodbrand), and Hazel (Herman Brooks). Margaret was a long standing member of Jerseyville United Church Women, Order of the Eastern Star, and the White Shrine of Jerusalem. Robert and Marg were former owners of Hewitson’s Variety in Lynden. Friends will be received at the TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Thursday, April 5, 2018 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service to be held in the chapel on Friday at 11 a.m. Interment Mount Zion Cemetery, Copetown, ON. Special thanks to Dr. Carol Gideon and the staff on the 7th floor at the BGH. In lieu of flowers, donations would be gratefully appreciated to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Jerseyville United Church.
