It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jim at the Brantford General Hospital on March 1, 2018, with his family by his side. Jim will be greatly missed and remembered by his loving wife of over 50 years, Jane Halley. Jim was a loving father of Richard Halley (Hayley Gatward), Karen Halley (Jay Ireland), and Christie St. Louis (Kevin). He was a proud Papa of George, Julia, Emmy, Nico, and Josephine. Jim was the only child of the late Margaret and Hugh Halley. He will be fondly remembered for his lengthy teaching career with the Grand Erie District School Board, his commitment to Lion’s Foundation of Canada, and as a member of Greenbrier Presbyterian Church in Brantford. Friends will be received at the TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Monday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Service in the chapel on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at 11am. Donations in memory of Jim can be made to Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides, Paris Lions Club, or the Diabetes Association.
