Obituary for Beatrice "Bea" Mussche

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Bea, on Sunday, December 31st, 2017 in her 61st year. After a courageous battle with cancer she passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the Brantford General Hospital. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother and nana, leaving behind her husband, Christian, and her children, Christopher (Trish), Jennifer (Joe) and Wesley (Sheana). Adored nana of Jemma, Jonathan, Jaida, Riley, Kaylee, Carter, Sydney, Trinity and Laynee. Dearest sister of Mary Hietala, Henry Poirier, Charlene Oshanek (Craig), Donna Kusch and Evelyn (Darren) Farrow. “Aunt Bea” will also be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews as well as uncles, aunts and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Agnes Poirier (nee MacNeil). One of her proudest achievements was that she was an over 40 year employee at Hartmann Canada Inc. where she still worked until struck by illness. She will be lovingly remembered by many great friends and for many great times! The family would like to express a special thank you to the Bayshore Home Health Care staff, especially Erin, Casey, Floria and Eva. Also to Dr. Bernadette MacNeil and Shelly from Stedman Community Hospice for the compassionate care and support to Bea and our family while she was at home. Thank you also to the staff in the Palliative Care Unit at the BGH for making Bea’s final days as comfortable as possible, and for your compassion and support for our family during our very adverse and grievous time there.
Friends will be received at the TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Cremation to follow. As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Stedman Community Hospice.
