RESTON, David Lawson – passed away peacefully with his loving family at his side at the Stedman Community Hospice on Tuesday, December 19th, 2017, in his 79th year. Loving husband of the late Anne (nee: MacBeth) who passed in 2013. Cherished father of Alan (Kathy), Gary (Joanne) and David (Kerri). Proud Grandpa of Ian, Robbie, Megan, Krista, Corey, Ewan, Lucas, Cole and Ryan. Dear brother of Jean and Elizabeth. Brother-in-law of John (Christine), Eleanor (Norrie), Jim (Linda) and Linda. Predeceased by sister-in-law Janice (Jim). Davy was an avid golfer. He loved cracking jokes and watching his grandkids play sports. He will be fondly remembered for his infectious smile and his ability to bring laughter to any room. Davy will be dearly missed by his family and by his many friends, whom he adored and enjoyed the quality time he spent with them. Our family would like to extend a special thank you to the Stedman Community Hospice including the Outreach Team, for the amazing care and compassion given to Davy during his final days and as well as to Starla of the C.C.A.C. for her care and concern. Family and friends will be received for a celebration of Davy’s life, at the Charing Cross Reception Suites, 63 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Saturday, December 23, 2017 from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. Respecting Davy’s wishes, there will be no funeral and cremation has taken place. If desired, donations in memory of Davy, may be made to the Stedman Hospice.
