Condolence: My late husband, Gord Osmond, worked with Bob at various schools. He always found Bob to be supportive with a great sense of humour, who cared deeply about staff and students. My thoughts are with your family during this time.

Condolence: Dear Kathy, Paul and Mike,
Your dear father leaves such a legacy in our community. As Mayor, your Dad kept a steady hand and used his deep knowledge of the city and her residents to make things work well. More personally for my family, Mr. Taylor was a wonderful guiding force at St. George Public School. My sons Alex and Bobby and their friends learned the importance of dignity and respect from him. A parent can’t ask more from a Principal.
As for me, I can’t express how much your parents’ kindness, support and generosity during my political days meant...thank you for sharing them so freely...they are both missed and not forgotten....with deepest sympathies and greatest respect. Jane

Condolence: I was always pleasantly surprised when Bob would stop and talk to me at Park Fitness....while I never played a game against him, we always talked about this and that and I was happy that he remembered me and seemed to know more about me than I thought he should. I remember his time as Mayor and he always had a powerful presence about him. Rest now, good sir. You will always be remembered by this community.

Condolence: My sincere condolences on Bob’s passing.
I was the city hall reporter at the Brantford Expositor during his mayoralty. He was a first class guy and the perfect fit for the mayor’s chair – smart and calm with a generous dose of common sense.
We had many laughs together but none was greater than the time I did a story on Brantford’s rug hooking community.
I still remember the lead on my front-page story: “Mayor Bob Taylor says his wife is the best hooker in Brantford. Rug hooker, that is.”
Bob encouraged me to write that, never realizing the paper would be flooded with all kinds of complaints. For years and years afterward, he and Thora laughed about that one.
Long after I left Brantford for British Columbia, Bob and Thora came to Victoria and stayed with me and my wife Diana. We had a wonderful few days together.
I am sorry that Bob has passed but I have many great memories of a fine, dignified man who enriched his community and all those he touched.
Again, my sincere condolences.

Condolence: To Mike and your Family:

Embrace the memories as you have many. Remember the love and laughter and many lessons learned and carry them forward to the next level of life and onward. Shed your tears for a while, but carry on with the task of being reminded that one day, you will all meet again, but in the meantime, carry on the legacy.
