After a valiant fight, William Grant Clark in his 78th year passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family and into the arms of his Saviour on December 8, 2017 at the Brantford General Hospital. Beloved husband of 56 years to Heather (nee Prince). Cherished father of Kevin (Jane) and Leah Roy (Kenny). Proud grandfather of Holly (Jon), Kevin Jr (Amanda)., Katie (Kyle), Madi (Josh), Kyle, Sarah (Marshall) and Ben (Ryanne). Great-grandfather of Alissa, Makaya, Kinsley, Clayton, Greyson, Olivia and another great-grandchild on the way. William will also be missed by his Sister In-laws Pat, Mary, Dorcus, Dorris, Carol, Cathy, Wendy, Jacquie and his Brothers In-Law Norm, Danny and Bert as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family, co-workers and close family friends Charlotte, Al and Genny. Predeceased by his parents William and Agnes Clark, his brothers Robert and John, and sister Nan. William was an accomplished tool and die maker at HS Machine Shop for many years, and supported the communities of Fergus and Elora as a Tim Horton’s Franchisee for over 25 years. A special thank you to all of the staff in the Palliative Care Unit at the Brantford General Hospital for their compassionate care and support. The family will receive friends at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 from 7-9 p.m. A funeral service celebrating William’s life will be held on Wednesday at 12 noon in the chapel. Interment to follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. If desired, donations in memory of William can be made to Operation Smile Canada (www.operationsmile.ca).
