Obituary for Marie Jaqueline Fleurette "Jackie" Warnock

Marie Jaqueline Fleurette "Jackie" Warnock
Passed away peacefully at home, in her 90th year, under the care of her family as she wished on Wednesday, November 15, 2017. She has been reunited with her husband, the late David Warnock Jr. Survived by her loving children Deb (Mick) Elliott, Lisa (Paul) LeBlanc, Madelaine Warnock, Michelle Warnock (Dennis), Michael (Janet) Warnock and Jaqueline (Jeffrey) McDonald. Nana to 14 grandchildren and great-nana to 15 great-grandchildren. Jackie was predeceased by her parents James and Emma Ladouceur and 15 siblings. Not only was mom a terrific nana to her grandkids for over 20 years, mom was “nana” to countless school children at Christ the King School in Brantford as lunch monitor. She was also a Registered Nurse’s Assistant at the Brantford General Hospital and later in life sold Avon for over 30 years. Her customers were not only customers but life long friends, she was loved by all of them. She lived a very full life and always had a smile on her face. One of her favourite activities was Tues. and Thurs. night Bingo. There she met Molly, Joan and Bill. The four of them had such fun times and on occasion she would mention she did not win…..again. Her children would like to thank the many healthcare providers over the past 5 years who helped our mom continue to live a happy life at home. To the PSW team, the VON Nurses, Dr. MacNeil and Shelly Groombridge from Stedman Community Hospice for all their loving care and guidance in mom’s final days at home. Although it is difficult to say goodbye to this angel of a mother on earth, we take solitude in knowing she will be welcomed into the arms of Jesus and reunited with dad and all of her brothers and sisters.
Friends will be received at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Friday, November 17, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Paris. Donations to the Stedman Community Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
