My earliest memories are the card games played at our house, by the MacKinnon boys and their wives. But my fondest memories of Uncle Neil are from all our family picnics. We had the best time, lots of visiting; lots of teasing; lots of catching up on our lives, sharing stories of the past, and the swimming. The MacKinnon boys were instant friends with my husband Paul. When I think of my Dad and all his brothers, my mind always goes to the picnics. As years passed, the picnics happend less and less. Then Harry Rutherford invited the MacKinnon family to come to their summer picnic and Uncle Neil and Aunt Caroi and I could catch up again. As a little girl, I remembered him as being gruff, but when I was older I learned he was not really gruff at all. My parents, Uncle John, Aunt Linda, Aunt Carol and Uncle Neil also had some great holidays together. I am thankful the MacKinnon boys made our lives better. Laura (MacKinnon) Thompson
