Obituary for Audrey Florence Detheridge

Audrey Florence Detheridge
In her 95th year, Audrey went peacefully to meet her Lord and Saviour on Friday September 29th at 5:00AM. Audrey served as a private during the Second World War for the Canadian Women's Army Corp, where she met her late husband Kel. She was the beloved mother of Linda Leonetti (late Fred), Pat Detheridge, Heather Detheridge and Kelly Detheridge (Kathy). She will be missed dearly by her brother, Doug, nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Over the years, she carried many roles including sewing instructor, seamstress and Sunday school teacher. Audrey operated her home with an "open door" policy, welcoming anyone at any time. For 40 years she even conducted a bible study out of her house. Audrey was a prayer warrior and mentor for many people in the church. She had a strong belief in God's healing power and supported many missions fields. She will be remembered with love by many for her role as a wife, mother, homemaker, educator, veteran and friend. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 10th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 11th at New Life Pentecostal Assembly, 85 Clench Ave, Brantford at 11 a.m. with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to Stedman Community Hospice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
