Obituary for William Robert "Bill" Patterson

Peacefully at home in his sleep on Friday, September 2017 in his 73rd year.
Bill has gone to be with the Lord. Born to Harold and Dorothy on June 17, 1945. Pre-deceased earlier this year by his beloved wife of 45 years Corrie. Bill will be dearly missed by his son Brad (Stacey), daughters Kelly (Marcel Klema) and Jamie, grandchildren Kylie and Matthew, and by his sister Patricia (Dennis Heathers) and brother Brian (Yvonne). Brother-in-law of Kees deGraaf and Margaret deGraaf. Bill was a passionate and committed man of God, serving Him through Central Baptist Church. His devotion has taken him to places like Japan, Portugal,
Italy and France to assist in building houses of worship. Bill's compassion and love for his fellow man has seen him volunteer his time to various organizations,
ranging from Stedman Hospice, OPP Community Policing and Brantford Police Citizens on Patrol.
Bill's business acumen and natural salesmanship, perfected by studying with Dale Carnegie, have resulted in a busy and very successful professional life,
culminating in his being recognized as the Entrepreneur of the Year 1998 by the Canadian Business Magazine and being elected President of the Brantford Traffic Club.
Over 40 years ago, Bill ventured to start Ontario Delivery Dispatch Ltd., his rightful pride and joy. Through the business, and his outgoing personality,
Bill has made many friends who will be sure to miss his cheerful disposition, humour, and contagious laugh. He was an inexhaustible source of energy
that many had difficulty keeping up with.
Family was his greatest source of pride and accomplishment. Bill would carry with him photos of his children and grandchildren, and tell anyone that would listen how happy they have made him. Regularly attending Matthew and Kylie's soccer games, morning visits to Kelly's house with Doug's Donuts breakfast and coffee in hand, summers in Little Europe Resort, backyard gatherings and holidays spent amongst family and friends are something that will never be the same.
Bill was absolutely one of a kind; the world is a lesser place with him no longer around.
Friends will be received at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Monday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Service in the chapel on Tuesday October 3, 2017 at 1 p.m. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery. Donations to the Stedman Community Hospice or Central Baptist Church appreciated.
