The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Conrad Eggel can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Luise Schmerlaib and family
Condolence: To Conrad's family - sending you our love and sincere condolences. Conrad was a very long-time and valued friend of Hans Schmerlaib and his wife Luise. Conrad and Hans met in Salzburg Austria through work. They often played chess together and became friends for life. Hans moved to Australia and Conrad to Canada and they kept in contact for many years by mail, phone and email and continued to enjoy their friendship across the miles. They visited each other and their families in Canada and Australia and exchanged Christmas and birthday cards for many years. Hans would often mention Conrad and share photos and messages from Conrad so that all Hans's family came to know of Conrad and a little of his life in Canada. Hans, Luise and family knew Conrad as a kind and caring friend. After Hans passed in 2010, Hans's wife Luise in Australia kept in contact with Conrad by email, post and phone. May the Angels welcome Conrad to paradise and give him eternal peace.

In stillem Gedenken,
Eva, Marian und Emelie, Österreich
