Obituary for Gerhard Heinrich Julius Jungermann

JUNGERMANN, Gerhard “Gerry” Heinrich Julius – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gerry at the Brantford General Hospital on Saturday, September 2, 2017, in his 89th year. Surrounded by family, he passed peacefully into the loving arms of his Saviour. Beloved husband of Irma. Loving father of Karen (The late Michael Alan) Winchester of East Montpelier, Vermont, Betty (David) Winkler of Waterloo, Ontario, Ellen (Jack) Hallman and Krista Jungermann. Proud Opa of Christopher, Erich and Maggie Winchester. He is also survived by his sister, Rosel Reichelt, in Germany. Fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sisters Ursula Meyer, Ruth Mehner and Elizabeth Junghanel. Gerry was born in Brackwede, Germany in 1929. He enjoyed music, especially playing hymns on his organ and singing bass. He directed several choirs in Quebec and his love for music was inherited by his daughters. He also enjoyed sailing, traveling and being outdoors. Gerry will also be greatly missed by his miniature poodle Abby. A private family gathering has taken place. If desired, donations to the Living Truth, a ministry of the People’s Church (Toronto) (by calling 1-888-269-6085).
