Passed away peacefully in her 97th year on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Fox Ridge Long Term Care. Born February 26, 1921 in Toronto. Beloved wife of the late Dan Brock (1955) and the late Ken Wagner (1988). Dear mother of Dan (Loretta) Brock, Larry (Mary) Brock, Frank (Margaret) Brock, Gwen (Gerry) Nakluski and Rose Marie Wagner (Allan). Mother in law of Jack Brown. Predeceased by daughter Betty Brown (2012) and great-grandsons Jordan Berardi (2016) and Beau Brock (1990). Cherished grandmother of 14 grandchildren and great-grandmother “Babcia” of 28 great-grandchildren. Helen was a city girl from Buffalo, NY. who adjusted to farm life near Jarvis, ON. After moving to Brantford, she embarked on a hairdressing career followed by secretarial work in various medical offices. For the past 18 years, Helen resided in London. She enjoyed travelling and was still taking plane trips in her 90s. Her cooking skills were legendary and she will be dearly missed by family and friends. Helen will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews as well as relatives in Poland. Friends will be received at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Friday, August 11, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. with Parish Prayers at 8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, 9 Waverly Street, Brantford on Saturday at 10:30 am. Interment to follow at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery. Your prayers or Mass offerings would be appreciated or if you wish a donation to your charity of choice in Helen’s memory. www.dennistoll.ca
