Anthony "Tony" Makowich

After a courageous battle, with family by his side Anthony “Tony” passed away on Friday, August 4th, 2017, in his 96th year. Beloved husband of the late Verna (2006). Loving father of Randy, Ted and his wife Margaret. Proud grandfather of Mark (Yee) and Kevin (Doris). Cherished great-grandfather of Brayden, Tyler, Jaryd, Kayla and Emily. Tony will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and his special friends Michael and Carol Gallagher. He was predeceased by his parents Denis and Katherine Makowich and his sister Mary Klein. The family will receive friends at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Tuesday, August 8th, 2017 from 1- 2:00 p.m. A graveside service will then be held at Mount Hope Cemetery, 169 Charing Cross Street, Brantford at 2:15 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Tony can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Alzheimer Society of Brant.
