Obituary for Gregor Soltaniuk

Gregor  Soltaniuk
Greg Soltaniuk, age 93, passed away peacefully Saturday July 15, 2017 at Brantford’s Riverview Terrace. Greg was born on January 29, 1924 in west Ukraine and immigrated to Canada in 1949. He lived in Thunder Bay and worked at the Canadian Pacific Railway for over 35 years. Greg is predeceased by his beloved wife Maria Soltaniuk (1986) and will be dearly missed by his 2 daughters, Patricia Bandiera of Brantford and Lilian (Larry) Moro of Edmonton, his grandsons Steven (Alana) Bandiera, Greg and Ryan Moro and his great granddaughter Olivia Bandiera. He will be fondly remembered by other family and friends. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday July 22, 2017 with family and friends gathering at the Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Transfiguration, 629 McIntosh Street, Thunder Bay, for Divine Liturgy at 10 a.m. celebrated by Fr. Chvets. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time in the church. Interment will follow at the Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to the Blake Funeral Chapel, 200 May Street South, Thunder Bay.
