Obituary for William David Nelson "Bill" Butcher

BUTCHER, William “Bill” David Nelson – Passed away peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital, surrounded by loving family on Saturday, July 8th, 2017, at the age of 83. Beloved husband of Joan Butcher (previously Stewart), for over 25 years. Predeceased by his first wife, the late Lois (nee: McDonald). Loving father of Richard (Barbara), Martin (Tanya) and Robin (Kelley). Proud grandfather of Steffany (Sean) & Katie, Weston & Stephen and Emily & Jordan. Great grandfather of Seth & Paige. Bill will be fondly remembered by many extended family members and friends. Bill was a past O.P.P. officer and later was a long-time employee of Norfolk Sanitation Brantford, before his retirement. During retirement Bill enjoyed travelling with Joan, golfing and curling. Special thanks to all of the staff on SP6 and SP7 at the BGH, for their care of Bill. Family and friends will be received at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at 1 p.m. Interment to follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery. If desired, donations to the Juravinski Cancer Centre (www.jcc.hhsc.ca) would be greatly appreciated. www.dennistoll.ca
