BENNETT, Margaret “Peggy” – it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Peggy, at home on Wednesday, July 5, 2017, in her 77th year. Loving wife of 49 years to Chesley. Cherished mother of Tom (Tammy) and Bridget (Brad). Proud grandmother of Ashley, Breanne, Alyshia and Holly. Survived by her 12 siblings and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Patrick and Margaret Hagerty and 2 siblings. Peggy was born in St. John’s, Newfoundland. She was passionate about volunteering at the John Noble Home, for many years. Peggy was an avid walker and was well known all over the city, making many friends along the way. A special thank you to the volunteers of the Canadian Cancer Society, for driving Peggy to her cancer treatments in Hamilton. Family and friends will be received at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Sunday, July 9, 2017 from 6-9 p.m. and again on Monday, July 10, 2017 from 12-1 p.m. with a service to follow in the funeral home chapel at 1 p.m. If desired, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
