Passed away peacefully on Wednesday June 14, 2017.Long time cherished friend of Michael, Lynda, Christopher and Emily Johnston (Brantford ) and Shirley Latulippe (St. George). Brother of the late Michael (Ida) Smith (Hamilton), uncle of Katherine (Shane) Ashlock, Erin (Kevin) Green and great uncle to Willam. Stephen taught for the Brant Haldimond Norfolk Catholic District School Board for 26 years. He was a past president of Glenhyrst Art Gallery of Brant and of Theatre Brantford. In his retirement Steve volunteered with Paris Performance Theatre and the Brantford General Hospital. He enjoyed the close working relationship with the staff and volunteers. We would like to thank the emergency room staff for the kind and loving care they gave Stephen during his final day. All those that shared in Stephen's life are welcome to a time of fellowship and remembrance on Thursday June 22, 2017 between the hours of 4-6 pm. at the CHARING CROSS RECEPTION SUITES, 63 Charing Cross Street, Brantford. Cremation has taken place and there will be a private interment at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Brant Community Healthcare System.
