Obituary for Bernard Peter "Bernie" Novak
NOVAK-Bernard Peter
Bernard (Bernie) passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 30th, 2017 in his 92nd year.
Loving husband of Vera (nee Clark) and dear father to Bernard (Sandra). Proud grandfather
of Kyle (Chantal Frenette) and Caroline (Dario DiCarlo). Great-grandfather of
Sébastien, Maëlle, Maxime and Aspen. Bernard is predeceased by his four sisters
and four brothers. A proud retiree of SC Johnson Canada, where he applied his problem
solving acumen and diligence for over 30 years as a production
supervisor. He was a naval veteran and enjoyed fishing and hunting in the great
outdoors. When he wasn't helping others as a skilled handyperson he enjoyed
creating intricate artistic wooden furniture from trees he had personally hewn
from local forests. We wish to thank his nephew, nieces and friends for the
moral support provided in his final days. We also wish to thank the nurses and
staff on the seventh floor in palliative care at the Brantford General Hospital for
their care and service. Friends will be received at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross St. Brantford, on Monday, June 5th from 10:15-11:00 a.m. with a service to follow in the chapel. In lieu of flowers, your support to the Ontario Lung
