AVEY, Shirley Irene – passed away with her loving family by her side, on Friday, May 12th 2017. Shirley was in her 84th year. Cherished mother of the late Greg Avey (2005), Karen Avey and Susan Dinsmore (Rick Gordon). Proud grandmother of Michael, Mei-Lynn, Tanya, Jenn and Holly. Thoughtful “G.G.” of Hunter, Keagen, Sutton, Preston, Ava, Kaelum and Isla. Shirley was a longtime employee with the Grand Erie District School Board and enjoyed many years of retirement. She was an avid seamstress, a talented needle worker and an antique enthusiast. Family and friends will be received at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford, on Tuesday May 16th 2017 from 7-9 p.m. and again Wednesday, May 17th, 2017 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. A memorial service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 10:30 a.m. Interment at Mt.
