Family, friends and neighbours sadly announce Dieter’s passing on his 78th birthday, March 26th, at the Stedman Community Hospice. Cherished husband and best friend of Lela Schmidt. He will be dearly missed by sisters-in-law Barbara and Vera and nieces and nephews in Europe. Patients, their families and staff at Lansdowne Children’s Centre and Brantwood Centre appreciated the professionalism and humanity Dieter demonstrated as a caring physiotherapist. Dieter spent the last four weeks of his life at BGH Palliative Care and Stedman Community Hospice where the quality of care for him and his family was outstanding. Thank you to Dr. Manning, Dr. McNeil and community outreach Nurses. A private Memorial Service will be held this week. Donations to the Stedman Community Hospice or Lansdowne Children’s Centre would be appreciated.
