Birty Dennis  Williams

Passed away unexpectedly at home on January 28th, 2017 at the age of 84 years. Beloved husband of the late Jean Willliams (2016). Proud father of Marilyn (Ronald) Alexander and Ian (Molly) Williams. Loving grandfather of Angelo, Kevin, Nicholas, Jonathan, Jessica and Hannah. Dear brother of Ivan “Eric” Williams and his beloved wife Jeanetta Williams. Birty is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Wilfred and Evelyn Williams as well as his brother Rafael Williams and Nathan Philbert. Birty was a graduate of the University of Toronto School of Dentistry, class of 1964. He retired after serving 35 years at the Brant County Health Unit as the head of the Public Dentistry Unit. He was an active member of various organizations in Brant County including Chair of the Canadian Red Cross, Brantford Branch. He was the Past President of the Brantford Flying Club, Member of the Ontario Society of Public Health Dentists and a recipient of the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal in recognition of his dedication in serving his community.
Friends and family will be received at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Friday, February 10, 2017 from 5-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Evangel Pentecostal Church, 30 Fairview Drive, Brantford at 11:00 a.m. Donations in memory of Birty can be made to the Canadian Red Cross, Brantford Branch or the Alzheimer Society of Brant.
