Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones at the Brantford General Hospital on Wednesday, February 1st, 2017 at the age of 58 years. Beloved daughter of the late Donald and Pearl Grimster. Dear sister of Donald Robert “Bob”. Loving aunt of Samantha and William, who were her pride and joy.
Cherished friend of many. Carol was a passionate Early Childhood Educator for over 30 years, impacting the lives of many young children. She was a tremendous gift to many children by inspiring them through her creative and loving nature. She was instrumental in the creation and opening of Noah’s Ark Preschool Centre, the first workplace daycare centre within the BHNCDSB. Carol also worked at West End and the Blueridge Child Care Centres. Most recently Carol was a volunteer at Brant Family and Children’s Services helping with breakfast programs, children’s groups, community events and baking outstanding desserts for community suppers. Carol was a kind, loving and creative person who loved to bake, cook and decorate for every season. Special thanks to the Nurses and Doctors on 5B and in the CCU, especially Dr. Ajayi and Nurses Tracy and Caitlyn.
Friends and family will be received at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Sunday, February 5th, 2017 from 7-9 p.m. and Monday from 12 noon until the time of the Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Cremation has taken place. Donations in memory of Carol can be made to the CNIB or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
