Obituary for Corrie Patterson (De Graaf)

Corrie Patterson (De Graaf)

Passed away peacefully to be with the Lord, surrounded by her loving family at the Brantford General Hospital, on Tuesday the 24th of January.
Corrie was a devoted wife to Bill who loved Corrie unconditionally with all his heart for 45 years and will miss their weekly road trips. She was a loving and proud mom of Bradley, Kelly, and Jamie, a wonderful mother-in-law to Marcel, and a beloved Nanny to Kylie and Matthew.
Corrie was born in 1946 to Siebren and Jansje de Graaf in Den Helder, Holland. In 1954, the family, including her older brothers Kees and Fred (deceased 2007) moved to Canada. Here, she graduated from Pauline Johnson CVS and held an administrative position with SC Johnson Co. for 14 years. In 1972, Corrie married Bill Patterson, and together they built Ontario Delivery Dispatch Ltd. where she worked as a bookeeper and payroll administrator. Her family will always treasure the fond memories of Muskoka summers, turkey dinner feasts, and backyard pool fun. A long-time member of the Central Baptist Church, Corrie was a ferocious reader, a life-long learner, and an animal lover. She will be remembered by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her as the most humble, soft-spoken, kind, and graceful soul.
Many sincere thanks to the Brantford General Hospital staff, particularly the nurses and doctors at the Critical Care Unit, for their kindness, professionalism, and empathy.
Friends will be received at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Friday January 27, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Service in the chapel on Saturday January 28, 2017 at 9 a.m. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery. Donations to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada at www.llscanada.org, appreciated.
