Obituary for Georgina Doris Walsh

December 24, 1924 - December 30, 2016
It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to a special loving lady. Georgina leaves behind her children Harvey (Dianne), Cliff (Arlene), Margaret (Doug), Mary (Pete) and Susan. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Danny (Pam), Peter (Shana), Jessica (Adam), Adam (Katie), Christine (Shane), Travis (Ashley) and Amy (Max); her great-grandchildren Willy, Jack, Izzy, Courtney, Zachary, Sophie, Eli, Leland and Karsyn, and her beloved dog Daisy. Survived by her sisters Norma Redditt and Grace Allen. Georgina now joins her husband Bill, daughter-in-law Debbie, parents Florence and Harry, brothers John and Alex, and her sisters Alice, Marie and Lillian.
Georgina was a lifetime member of Mt Pleasant Presbyterian Church and active for many years in the Ladies Aid, the Women's Missionary Society and the Quilting Guild. We remember all the work she put into her bountiful garden, amazing preserves, cooking and baking. She will be fondly remembered as a kind, gentle unassuming lady who always had a smile and never a complaint.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Hankinson House Hospice, Paramed, CBI and Seasons Bell Lane for their wonderful care in our mom's final weeks, a special thank you to Jean and Dot for their continuous devotion. Thanks also to Reverend Dean Adlam and our church family for their support and prayers.
At her request, cremation has taken place. You may join the family for a memorial visitation at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Wednesday from 6-8 pm and Thursday, January 5, 2017 from 12 noon, with the funeral service to follow in the chapel at 1 pm.‎
Donations to Mt Pleasant Presbyterian Church or Stedman Community Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
