Obituary for Vera Rowena Shrum
SHRUM, Vera (nee Vanderlip) – It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Vera, at home on December 21, 2016 at the age of 87 years. Beloved wife of 68 years to Ross. Loving mom of Beth Smith (Paul), Gerry (Marlene) and Linda Shrum. Proud grandma of Derek, Devon, Nathan, Brad (Steph), Leann (Gord Morrison) and Kelly (Jason Davis), and great-grandmother of Walker, Heidi, and a little one on the way. Fondly remembered by her sister Ruth Johnson, her brothers Harold Vanderlip (Marilyn) and Roy Vanderlip (Marion), and brother-in-law Jack Shrum. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford from 1- 2 p.m. with a service to follow in the chapel at 2 p.m. Private family interment. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Central Baptist Academy. www.dennistoll.ca
