Obituary for Ruth Christina Heys

Peacefully at Park Lane Terrace, Paris, on Monday November 28, 2016, Ruth, in her 93rd year, left her earthly life behind. Pre-deceased by her loving husband and best friend John R. (Jack) Heys in 2003. Loving step-mother to Don and his wife Jean of Toronto, and Ric and his wife Roxanne of Burlington. Step-Gram to Karen Stryker, Brad Heys (Sarah Bradley), Jacqueline Samuels (Lionel), Jennifer Slagter (Mike Spence), Krista McCormick (Trevor) and Lyndsay Heys (Warren Brooks). Great Gram to Kate, Oliver, Clare , Emma, Nate, Maddy, Dylan, Allison, Abigail and Callum. Cherished by her nephew David McDonald (Elizabeth) and their daughters Carly Mills (Trent) and Karyn McDonald (Mike Morse). Special aunt to Suzanne and her husband Andrew Szalai, their daughter Shannon Boakes (Kerry) and their son Blaine Szalai (Allison). Pre-deceased by her grandson Blake Heys, her brother Bob McDonald and sister-in-law Joyce. The family would like to recognize the exceptional care Ruth received while at Park Lane. Friends will be received at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Saturday December 17, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. till service in the chapel at noon. Cremation has taken place. Donations to the Stedman Community Hospice, the Hamilton Brain Injury Association or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family
