Passed away, surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 in his 81st year. Beloved husband of Barbara for 52 years. Loving Dad of Scott and Jason (Kristen). Proud Grandpa of Lucia and Olivia. Fondly remembered by his sister-in-law Marilyn Henderson and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brothers George (Kay), Andy, Bob (Shirley), Bill, Ken, and sister Annie Keery (Jack). Doug was an employee of Dominion/ A&P for 41 years. He enjoyed gardening, was an enthusiastic card player and sports fan. Doug is a Past Master of Scotland Masonic Lodge #193 and a former member of the Kiwanis Club of Grand River. The family will receive friends at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Thursday, November 24, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A funeral service to be held on Friday at 1 p.m. in the chapel. Interment to follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. If desired, donations can be made to Parkinson Canada or a charity of your choice.
