Peacefully, on Saturday, October 22nd, 2016, at St. Joseph’s Lifecare Centre in Brantford, Kay, in her 95th year, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Beloved wife of the late Charles (Chub) Bryer, and the late Karl Gebhardt. Dearly loved by her children: David Bryer and wife, Susan, Georgia Wiggins and husband, Rick, Karla Stenekes and husband, John, and Robert Bryer and wife, Diane. Dear sister of Dr. Marian Walsh of St. Catharines, and the late Dougal Gray of Parkhill. Precious grandmother of William (Violet), Robert and John, Simon (Katharine), Annalise (Chris), Kelly (Phil), Kathryn (Peter), Jeffrey (Sheri), Jennifer (David), Kathryn (Michael), and Charles (Samantha), Kristi and Alexandra. Loving great-grandmother of Alexander, Benjamin and Samuel, Giada, Mary and Sarah, Sullivan, Sheppard, and Kipling, Caleb, Michaela, and Jessica, Willem, Alida and Susannah, Florence and Joshua, and aunt to many nieces and nephews. Kay was a secondary school teacher in Oakville, and a member of Shenstone Memorial Baptist Church of Brantford, where she was an enthusiastic ladies’ Precept Upon Precept Bible study leader. For several years she served on the Brantford Committee for Women Alive. She will be greatly missed by all those who loved her and who were blessed by her life. Visitation will be held at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Thursday, Oct. 27th from 6 – 8 p.m. and on Friday, Oct. 28th from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. in the chapel. Interment Greenwood Cemetery, Burlington. Donations may be given to Precept Ministries Canada, 14 Holiday Dr., Brantford, or to Shenstone Memorial Baptist Church, 25 St. George St., Brantford.
