Obituary for Gilberto Donato Di Meo

Di MEO – Gilberto Donato – it is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Gilberto, surrounded by his family at the Brantford General Hospital on Tuesday, September 27, 2016. He was in his 80th year. Loving and cherished husband of 58 years to Maria. Much loved father of Panfilo and his wife Laurie, Anna and her husband Allen Mannen and his late infant son. Proud grandfather of Daniel (Liz), David (Amanda), Kyle (Jeni), Kassandra (Cody) and Kristen (Terry). Great nonno of Kaylee and Kiauna. Dear brother of Mario (Lucia) Di Meo, of Italy and Concetta (the late Pietro) Luciani. Also survived by his brother-in-law Guido Pietroleonardo and many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his parents Panfilo and Berenice Di Meo and his siblings in law Domenica Pietroleonardo, Donatella and Benedetto Di Ramo and Lucia and Alberto D’Eramo. Special thank you to the staff at the BGH for the kind, compassionate care provided to Gilberto. Family and friends will be received at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Thursday from 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, 9 Waverly Street, Brantford on Friday, September 30, 2016 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Paris. If desired, donations in Gilberto’s memory may be made to the Brantford General Hospital Foundation. www.dennistoll.ca
