Henryk "Henry" Zdzierak
Passed away peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital on Saturday, August 6th, 2016 in his 91st year. Much loved cousin of Kathy and Richard Jankowski of Brantford and Henry Zdzierak and his family of Woodstock. He will also be missed by extended family in Poland. Henry survived many years of slave labour during the Second World War before coming to Canada to start a new life at the age of 22. The family will receive friends at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Monday (today) from 7-9 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 235 Brant Avenue, Brantford on Tuesday August 9th, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Our Lady of the Assumption Mausoleum, Holy Cross Cemetery, Paris. Donations in memory of Henry can be made to the St. Joseph’s Church Elevator Fund.
