FRANKLIN, Gertrude Marion (nee Darville)-After a short illness at the Brantford General Hospital on Saturday, June 25, 2016. Born on July 17, 1935, Gertrude of Brantford in her 81st year. Left to mourn is her loving husband Dale as well as her children; Stephen of Toronto, Scott and his wife Mary Teresa of Rockland, Christopher and his wife Diane of Wellesley, Todd and his wife Lori of Boston, Lisa and her husband Cam Hill of St. Catharine’s and Jacquie of Brantford. She will be sadly missed by 18 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren and by her brother Frank Darville and his wife Janet of Brantford. Predeceased by her parents Ralph Darville (1991) and Kathleen Guscott (2004). Gert was a foster parent for many years with the Brantford Children’s Aid. She was a member of the Paris Lioness Club, volunteered with the St. John’s Drum & Bugle Corp. and Elder and 67 year member of Central Presbyterian Church. Friends will be received at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Central Presbyterian Church, 97 Wellington Street at George Street, Brantford on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at 11 a.m. Interment Mount Hope Cemetery. Donations to her church or the charity of your choice appreciated
